Unique Location
The extraordinary location between the Učka Mountains and the sea plays a particularly important role. In winter, water collects within the mountain massif, where it is stored like a natural reservoir. During the warmer months, it slowly makes its way towards the coast through springs and underground watercourses before eventually reaching the sea. This creates particularly fresh, and in some places cooler, areas of water near the coastline with a lower salt content.
The geological character of the site also contributes to the unique atmosphere of Villa Astra. Beneath the property lie crystalline rock formations, while the water remains in constant motion as it travels through the mountain, creating natural currents and swirling patterns. These geological and hydrological features are believed to give the place a distinctive energetic quality that complements the retreat concept of Villa Astra.
The result is a place defined not only by its beauty, but also by the interplay of mountain, water, sea and landscape – creating a special atmosphere for regeneration, mindfulness and inner calm.
